Aspire Ministries works with a partner church to provide cleaning supplies for those coming from area shelters or domestic violence situations. A request for cleaning supplies often leads to further conversations, prayer, friendship, and families coming to church for the first time.

PRODUCTS NEEDED:
Mop Bucket, Mop, Floor Cleaner, Broom, Dust Pan, Toilet Bowl Brush, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Tall Kitchen Trash Bags, All-Purpose Cleaner, Window Cleaner, Dish Soap, Dishcloths or Sponges, Paper Towels, Scrubbies

A partner church provides diapers, wipes, and baby lotion (if needed) for children from birth through age 3. Families are able to receive these on a monthly basis. Connections are made and families are invited to church and children’s activities.

PRODUCTS NEEDED:
Diapers and Pull-Ups for both boys and girls. Larger sizes (4, 5, and 6) are in higher demand. Baby Wipes in smaller bundles are also greatly appreciated.

After Aspire Ministries coordinates efforts with the crematorium or funeral home, and our grieving families, our partner churches will cover partial funeral/burial expenses, offer clergy for services, and the possibility of a family dinner following the services.

ASSISTANCE NEEDED:
We are accepting financial donations toward this ministry to help cover family expenses.

Aspire Ministries works with a partner church to provide gas cards for our callers to reach their medical appointments. Appointments are verified and gas cards are available for pick-up at our partner church. These are available for residents in Marion County and another church has partner with us to specifically serve residents with a Prospect zip code.

Three area churches partner together with Aspire Ministries to pick up gently-used furniture. These items are cleaned up and then delivered to families in need. Priority goes to those coming to us from shelters, domestic violence situations, or starting over from other such situations.

PRODUCTS NEEDED:
Clean, gently-used couches, loveseats, recliners, arm chairs, kitchen tables and chairs, dressers, end tables, coffee tables, lamps, twin/full/queen bed frames, twin/full/queen box springs, twin/full/queen mattress in great condition

(Our furniture team can make arrangements to pick these items up.)

With thanks to a grant from the Marion County Council on Aging and a partner church, we are excited to announce this new gap ministry that provides incontinence supplies and nutritional supplement drinks. These are primarily for seniors in Marion County, but thanks to community donations can be made available to others if there is a medical need.

PRODUCTS NEEDED:
Mens and Women’s Incontinence Products such as Depends or Poise, Nutritional Supplement Protein Drinks such as Boost or Ensure in Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry Flavors

Two area churches partner together with Aspire Ministries to provide medical equipment to Marion County residents. These items are donated by individuals in our community or local care facilities and are available for loan or on a permanent basis.

PRODUCTS NEEDED:
Walker, Wheelchairs, Crutches, Canes, Quad-Canes, Rollators, and similar devices, and Lysol Sterilizing Wipes. We also accept walker/wheelchair caddies or bags.

Aspire Ministries attends numerous speaking engagements and tabled events throughout the year to share about our work being done by our partners in the community. We also create our own intake paperwork, flyers, brochures, bulletin inserts, and volunteer sign-up forms. We also mail requested information packets and newsletters throughout the year and send out prayer postcards and “Thinking of You” cards to our callers.

White Multipurpose Copier Paper, Goldenrod and Salmon Copier Paper, First-Class Postage Stamps, Postcard Stamps

Our new office space has a large open wall that is perfect for community artwork.

We are seeking:
HOMEMADE, SUNFLOWER-THEMED artwork for an art installation. These can be paintings, children’s artwork, needlepoint, mixed media, and of varying sizes.

Get creative! We are all created as unique individuals and our hope is that our Sunflower Wall will reflect our unique gifts and talents as well!
