MAJOR Changes in Store…
Due to circumstances outside our control, we must relocate our offices/ headquarters before the end of this year (December 2022.) We have secured new office space
on the 2nd Floor of the RHAM building at 205 West Center Street. It fits our needs, provides room for growth, and is only slightly more expensive than our current rent. HOWEVER, it requires some work to get it ready for us to move in.
We are currently painting walls and replacing some carpet. We need to move our phones and network. We have to create all new signs and hire movers to get us moved in before the end of the year. This overall project to move into new offices comes at an unexpected cost of approximately $6,000-8,000. We couldn’t possibly have planned for something so unexpected.
We’d like to send out a GREAT BIG THANKS to volunteer crews from Cornerstone Alliance Church and MVA (Mt. Vernon Avenue Church of Christ) for preparing and painting some of our rooms! Matt Deeren and Beth Hartzler have taken the lead for each of their respective churches and coordinated volunteers to come help us out. THANK YOU to Mike and Brenda Fogle from Oakland United Methodist Church/Waldo United Methodist Church for tackling a lot of maintenance, electrical, and mechanical projects for us. THANK YOU to Habitat for Humanity ReStore for a sizable paint donation. And, THANK YOU to Calvary Bible Baptist Church, Emanuel Lutheran Church, First Presbyterian Church, Lee Street Presbyterian Church, and The Shepherd’s Fellowship for additional financial donations to help with expenses for supplies and carpet to make all of this possible. Thank you, God!
WE NEED YOUR HELP. The expenses associated with this were not anticipated when we planned our 2022 budget. It will financially impact our ministry if we don’t receive additional funding. With so much happening this year, we haven’t been able to hold any fundraisers. We have applied for grants to help with these expenses, but we have not received any funding so far. Because our relocation is under a tight timeline, we have had to tap into our general operating fund to cover these emergency expenses. Please remember us in your end-of-year giving.
