The Tri-Rivers Giauque Auditorium was abuzz with excitement on Saturday, April 26, 2025 as 120 enthusiastic guests gathered for the inaugural Kilts for a Cause, a fundraising event benefiting Aspire Ministries. With the lively energy of 20 celebrity servers, the evening was a tremendous success, raising an impressive $28,500 towards our $35,000 goal!

"We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and support shown by our community," beamed Jenni Hypes, Executive Director of Aspire Ministries. "Every kilt worn, every bid placed, and every laugh shared truly made a difference in our mission to provide vital services for individuals and families in need. This event far exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful."

The evening's festivities were enhanced by the captivating sounds of bagpiper Mic Trenor, who provided an authentic and festive atmosphere. Guests eagerly participated in both the live and silent auctions, where a fantastic array of donated items helped to significantly boost the funds raised. The friendly competition for these treasures added an extra layer of excitement to the night.

Aspire Ministries extends its deepest gratitude to our generous sponsors, Earth and Cup and The Shepherd's Fellowship, and to our advertisers and auction item donors whose support was instrumental in making this event possible. A very special thank you goes to Reverend Michael L. Poole, Jr. of Emanuel Lutheran Church, who emceed the evening with energy, humor, and heart. His leadership and quick wit kept the program flowing smoothly and the audience fully engaged. We also want to acknowledge and thank our incredible planning and decorating teams, whose hard work and creativity transformed the auditorium into a memorable space for this special occasion.

The success of Kilts for a Cause is a testament to the power of community coming together for a shared purpose. We are so close to our goal (just $6,500 away), and every dollar raised will directly impact those Aspire Ministries serves. Thank you to everyone who made this inaugural event an unforgettable night of food, fun, fashion, and philanthropy!
